FIFA 16 Release Date & Gameplay: What We Know About the New EA Sports Soccer Game
Ever since FIFA 16 was confirmed, fans of the soccer simulation game have been eager to see what's next for the series. The EA game has yet to hit the market and fans are already lining up to pre-order the title.
Fans have been looking forward to know more details about the game but news and updates about it appear to arrive in trickles.
Among the rumored addition to the game is the new story mode, which has not been seen in previous FIFA titles. A job listing at the EA Career website sparked the reports that this feature would finally be introduced to the upcoming title.
The site indicated an open post for a Narrative Designer whose job is to "bring the player's experience to explosive life in its story-telling mode, championing story to the team and ensuring that script, speech and story-telling devices are tuned to achieve a gripping emotional narrative experience."
Current FIFA titles do not have a MyPlayer Mode unlike the NBA 2K series, so it is possible that EA plans to add one to the upcoming game.
Players could also expect a huge upgrade to the FIFA 16 game. The FIFA title that came out last year brought with it huge improvements, such as better timing and gameplay. However, it seems EA is determined to top that one with the latest version.
In fact, the developers have a huge lead time to complete FIFA 16 as it was discovered that the team began to work on the title even before FIFA 15 was released.
Console Master reported that Peter Moore revealed in an interview with CVG magazine that the title's development phase was divided into two parts.
"There are two phases to development. There's the core game itself. We have several hundred people working on that and it's staggered development process, so there are already people working on FIFA 16," said Moore.
No release date has been announced yet for the highly anticipated game. However, FIFA Game News reported that the title is set to arrive in all regions, except Brazil, starting September. Players in the Southern American country would be able to get their hands on the game in October.
Those who have EA Access will be able to play the game earlier.
FIFA 16 would be available to last and current generation Sony and Microsoft consoles. It would also be available to Nintendo playing devices.
