Actress Odette Annable took to Instagram on Mother's Day to announce that she and her husband Dave are expecting their first child. 

Odette posted a photo of herself holding her baby bump while standing next to Dave on the beach. She captioned the photo with an exciting message about joining "the party" of mothers and mothers-to-be on Mother's Day. 

Dave followed suit and retweeted Odette's Instagram photo while posting an additional tweet wishing his wife a Happy Mother's Day.

People reports that Odette and Dave tied the knot in 2010 in Ojai, California, and have been adamant about wanting to start a family since getting married.

"I want a little hockey team," Dave told People. "I'm a little bit older than she is ... I'm going gray, I wear cardigans now. It's time. ... I have the itch."

In a separate interview with Us Weekly, Dave gushed over how he felt that Odette would be a perfect mother in the future.

"When we went on a date, I thought, 'Well, I gotta lock this up,'" he said. "I know I traded up in that deal!"

Prior to their baby announcement, Odette and Dave have been off vacationing in Europe, E! News reports. 

The couple shared many Instagram and Twitter photos of their trip and dished on what a great time they were having. So far, Dave and Odette have gone to London and Paris, took a stroll in Saint Germain, visited the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame and stayed at Le Pavillon de la Reine.

The couple has yet to reveal whether they are having a boy or girl.
