It's the final "SmackDown" before Sunday's "Payback" pay-per-view event, and Roman Reigns is in the main event against Kane.

A video featuring Bray Wyatt aired to open the show, but he will make a personal appearance later in the show.

After being the top WWE Superstar standing on "Monday Night Raw," Dean Ambrose is the first to enter the "SmackDown" ring with a huge ovation. After talking about "Raw" and "Payback," he is interrupted by fellow Shield alum Roman Reigns. Kane quickly makes an appearance, and his patience is tested as Ambrose and Reigns mock him. As a result, Kane immediately sets a match for Ambrose.

Ambrose's opponent is Sheamus. After what has been described as a hard-hitting back-and-forth match, Ambrose gets a sudden-and-quick win over Sheamus via pinfall.

The action moves with a backstage segment with Kane and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Kane sets another match for Rollins tonight, and it's against Ryback.

Rusev and Lana are in the ring for a promo. Lana receives a big pop, yet she is apologizing for her previous actions, including interaction with the fans and dancing with Fandango. Rusev's "Payback" opponent, United States Champion John Cena, does not make an appearance.

Following a promo by Ryback, his match against Rollins is next, except Rollins too wants to deliver a promo. As Ryback emerged, Wyatt appeared and attacks him. Rollins wants a victory and declares Ryback forfeited.

The promos continue, this time with Naomi and Tamina Snuka. No other Divas action takes place.

WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day are in the ring for one-on-one competition. After they cut a promo, Cesaro and Tyson Kidd make their entrance. Kidd defeated Kofi Kingston with the Sharpshooter.

WWE aired an update on former Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan, but Bo Dallas appeared and criticized Bryan. Former NXT Champion Neville interrupts Dallas, and the next match is set. Back in NXT, Neville won the NXT Championship by defeating Dallas. Now on "SmackDown," Neville also gets a win over Dallas after using the Red Arrow. King Bad News Barrett was on commentary for the match.

A backstage segment with Adam Rose and the Rosebuds aired.

It's main event time with Kane and Reigns. The match's stipulation is next and there must be a winner by pinfall or submission. Basically, the match is a no-disqualification match. Weapons are used, and the result is Reigns gaining a victory. Unlike "Raw," Reigns is now the only superstar left standing in the ring.
