This time of year television networks wrap up TV show seasons with finales and network executives decide what TV shows are renewed or canceled. Shows that are canceled make room for new, exciting TV series. The networks do not disappoint in their fall 2015 lineups.

There are about 45 new TV shows coming this fall. A-list celebrities, such as Wesley Snipes, Jennifer Lopez, Ray Liotta, Calista Flockhart, Rob Lowe, Gabriel Luna, and more, have starring roles in new TV shows.

Whether you like police drama, such as Lopez's "Shades of Blue," or comic-inspired shows like CBS's "Supergirl," or a medical comedy starring "The Hangover's" Ken Jeong, there is something for everyone.

Below, we profile the new shows with the biggest Hollywood stars.

1. "The Player" (NBC)

Wesley Snipes stars in "The Player," which is expected to premiere Thursday in the fall.

The TV series is an action-packed thriller set in Las Vegas. The storyline is about a former military operative-turned-security expert who unwillingly becomes a part of a high-stakes game where wealthy individuals gamble on his ability to stop major crimes from playing out. Can he take them down from the inside and get revenge for the death of his wife? "The Player" comes from the executive producers of "The Blacklist."

2. "Shades of Blue" (NBC)

Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta star in this new drama set in New York. Lopez stars as sexy New York detective and single mother Harlee Santos. Santos has fallen in with a tight-knit group of corrupt cops. She takes bribes and protection money to give her daughter the best life possible. When she's caught by the FBI, she is forced to become an informant and report on her fellow cops. She has to balance love, loyalty, honor and betrayal, and keep it together for her daughter's future.

3. "Dr. Ken" (ABC)

"The Hangover" movie star and comedian Ken Jeong will star in a multicamera comedy debuting Fridays in the fall. He plays Dr. Ken, a brilliant physician with no bedside manner. While he tries to be a good doctor, husband, and dad to his two kids, his good intentions drive everyone crazy. Luckily, his therapist wife Allison (Suzy Nakamura) is able to keep things sane, both at work and home.

4. "Wicked City" (ABC)

This fall, Gabriel Luna and Adam Rothenberg star in "Wicked City," a show that will follow a different case set each season in a different noteworthy era of Los Angeles history. The show starts with a 1982 murder case on the rock and roll and cocaine-infused party scene of the Sunset Strip. Detectives, reporters, drug dealers and nightclub patrons form alliances to solve a serial murder case.

5. "The Grinder" (Fox)

Rob Lowe and Fred Savage star as brothers. When a TV lawyer's (aka "The Grinder") hit series is canceled, he is at a crossroad in life. He decides to move back to his small hometown and take over his family's law firm, but his brother has other ideas. Watch the trailer. Coming Tuesdays this fall.

6. "Scream Queens" (Fox)

The cast for "Scream Queens" is enormous. It stars Jaime Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, plus many others. Guest stars include Ariana Grande and Nick Jonas. The new anthology series revolves around a college campus that is bombarded by a series of murders. "Scream Queens" will air Tuesdays in the fall.

7. "Best Time Ever With Neil Patrick Harris" (NBC)

Neil Patrick Harris is the star of this variety series based on the U.K.'s popular show "Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway." Comedy sketches, mini game shows, musical numbers, hidden camera pranks on A-list guest stars and more will happen Tuesdays coming this fall.

8. "Hot & Bothered" (NBC)

Eva Longoria stars in this new comedy about what happens behind the scenes on telenovelas. Longoria plays Ana Sofia, a sexy TV superstar. When the camera switch off, the comedic drama starts as she and her cast and crew deal with pesky network executives, drunken writers, narcissistic co-stars and a new on-screen love interest. The premiere date has not been announced.

9. "Supergirl" (CBS)

Born on the planet Krypton, Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) escaped its destruction years ago. Now 24, she embraces her superhuman abilities to be the hero she was born to be. Calista Flockhart co-stars as Kara's boss, Cat Grant. "Supergirl" premieres Mondays in November.

10. "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" (The CW)

Time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) has seen the future and he desperately wants to stop it from happening. He must assemble a ragtag team of heroes and villains to confront a terrifying threat -- one that threats not only the planet, but all of time. It will premiere midseason in 2015.
