In the "Reign" Season 2 finale, "Burn," fans finally saw a side of Mary they had long hoped for -- she lied about the pregnancy and set up Prince Condé to protect Francis. She even stabbed Condé, crushing the rebellion by herself!

When Francis arrived at the tent and discovered a stabbed Condé and Mary, he asked if she had planned it when she left the night before. She said "yes," that Condé was a traitor. She told Francis he is her husband and king, and she loves him.

In the final scene of "Burn," Catherine visited Queen Elizabeth in her throne room. Elizabeth said that she heard Catherine was there for a favor. Catherine said that she has something to offer -- the destruction of their mutual enemy -- Mary Queen of Scots.

Fans will have to wait for Season 3 to see if Elizabeth takes Catherine's offer. Meanwhile, The CW has revealed spoilers about the next season.

The CW Network, who enjoyed its most watched season in seven years, announced its 2015-16 broadcast schedule on Thursday at the New York City Center. "Reign" is moving to a new night for its third season: Fridays.

"'Reign' has a slightly older-skewing audience. Friday is a slight older-skewing evening," CW president Mark Pedowitz said on a Thursday morning press call, according to Variety. He explained the network wanted to give the show a better chance after it competed against ABC's "Scandal" last season. "We creatively believe in the show."

In a recent Entertainment Weekly interview, showrunner Laurie McCarthy revealed that much of "Reign" Season 3 will be set in England.

"The show's got a certain amount of elasticity to it," McCarthy told Entertainment Weekly.

"It's called 'Reign,' and it can track any number of people's reigns. So what I like about it is that [Elizabeth's] been a character on our show, it feels like, almost since the beginning. And we've kind of painted this picture of her as somebody kind of lying in wait and a competitor of Mary's, but also a threat to her," she said.

"I've been really excited to meet her. And what she also allows us is the ability to go to another court, which is what we're going to do in Season 3. We'll see the court of England, we'll see the Elizabethan court and see the people who surround her," McCarthy continued. "So that's what I'm excited about; that allows the show to have even more scope."

The CW also released an official description of "Reign" Season 3. Mary and Francis will realize that they are more powerful together. The royal couple believes they can move forward despite her affair with Prince Condé and all that resulted.

Many Season 3 scenes will be set in England where fans will see Elizabeth, "Virgin" Queen of England, and her Elizabethan Court. Early in her reign, Elizabeth faces great opposition, especially from men who doubt a woman's ability to rule a kingdom.

Elizabeth, Mary and Catherine de Medici struggle to hold onto power in a male-dominated world and love.

"Mary and Elizabeth are reluctant foes, but foes nonetheless, each positioned by birth and fate to destroy all the other holds dear," The CW official description reads.

The "Reign" Season 3 premiere date has not yet been announced. According to The CW, the confrontation between Mary, Queen of Scots, and Queen Elizabeth will air on Fridays at 8-9 p.m.
