The year 2013 is coming to a close but definitely not the memories of a few of the best TV moments of the year. These short-lived, often scripted TV moments somehow won't budge off our minds. Here is a quick recap of some of the most viewed and most enjoyed TV moments of 2013.

Game of Thrones: The Red Wedding

Although every Game of Thrones fan has expected the forth and coming events of the episode, it wasn't able to stop the shock from seeping in. Fans and newbies with the novel were more than appalled at the death of Catelyn Stark, played by Michelle Fairley and Robb Stark, played by Richard Madden. Lord Walder Frey's massacre project has bought in even higher ratings for the show which is already stellar, at the very least.

Breaking Bad: Finale

The award-winning AMC drama, Breaking Bad has come to an end with its "Felina" finale gathering roughly 10 million viewers. Breaking Bad instantly became the No. 1 ranked show on Twitter that very season and one of the most talked about online.

Glee: The Quarterback Tribute to Cory Monteith

Cory Monteith's passing translated to the end of Glee character, Finn Hudson. Needless to say, the writers had considerable difficulty in dealing with Finn but came up with 'The Quarterback' tribute for the jock. Lea Michelle's 'Make You Feel My Love' rendition capped the episode - bringing everyone to tears and the number of viewers quite high.

MTV VMAs: Miley Cyrus Twerks

Nothing could have prepared the world for what was in store that very Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards. More than awesome performances by artists and the unexpected reunion of beloved boyband 'NSync, what stood out was Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus' Blurred Lines performance. Even though the performance has been rehearsed several times, Miley's twerking, grinding and her revealing outfit on the very night had several people commenting about her - including Thicke's mother.

How I Met Your Mother: Mother Revealed

The eight-year mystery of the equally long series, How I Met Your Mother has finally been solved. In May, fans of the series finally got to meet 'mother' Cristin Milioti though unfortunate for Ted who is yet to do so.
