'Stalker' Season Finale Spoilers: The Team Faces Upsetting News While Hunting for Serial Killer
The season finale of the CBS police procedural drama "Stalker" airs tonight.
Episode 20, “Love Kills,” is all about unveiling shocking revelations, as a search for a hard-to-catch serial killer brings the LAPD Threat Assessment Unit some upsetting news.
As reported in Spoilers Guide, Beth (Maggie Q ), Jack (Dylan McDermott) and Vicky (played by guest star Mira Sorvino) will be engaged in their search for the killer, when Vicky stumbles upon some startling information about her ex-husband.
If you are a fan of the gritty cop show, you should really check it out tonight as this season finale will likely double as the series finale as well.
As reported by Variety CBS has elected not to renew the show for a second season.
For Dylan McDermott, the 53-year old actor who cut his teeth in the 1987 war flick “Hamburger Hill,” acted alongside Julia Roberts in “Steel Magnolias” and became perhaps most recognizable as the studly lawyer on ABC's “The Practice,” working on the CBS cop show as a figure of authority was kind of a familiar experience.
Speaking to Zap2it, the actor mused over his past roles, saying that on television especially, "I have been doctors, lawyers and cops."
"Stalker" was a bit different from most of what the actor had done in that there was a genuine focus on women enduring terrible deaths. McDermott expressed his hope that the heaviness of the subject matter would spark a dialog about the topic.
If “Stalker” is really over tonight, then that is probably okay with the actor who seems to prize the quality of a project over its longevity. Speaking about what excites him about a project, McDermott said, "You don't want everything to run seven years. That's not success for me. Mine is based on character. I had a homerun with 'The Practice.' I like to create different projects."
The season finale of “Stalker” airs tonight on CBS at 9 p.m.
