WWE 2K16 Release Date for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 Scheduled on October 27
Fans of the wrestling simulation game, WWE 2K16, could soon get their hands on the new title. 2K Sports has recently announced that the latest iteration for the popular wrestling video game would arrive on consoles in October.
Take-Two Interactive -- mother firm of 2K Sports -- revealed the release date on a financial filing, which was shown to investors. According to the report, WWE 2K16 would hit stores on Oct. 27 in the North American region. Meanwhile, other regions would be able to access the game three days after the NA release date.
The news was confirmed on the official Twitter account of WWE 2K.

The release date indicated in the report is for the last and current generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft. It was not indicated if a PC release would follow the same schedule.
According to Polygon, 2K Sports has consistently launched previous WWE titles every last Tuesday of October. However, this tradition was broken in 2014 as last and current generation consoles had two different launch dates. The split release saw PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 get the game on Oct. 28 while PlayStation 4 and Xbox One had it on Nov. 18.
A PC version came much later in April 2015. WWE 2K15 is the first version of the title in the franchise to be made available in the PC. The announcement on the WWE site noted that the PC version would include all features available on the consoles and that expansion packs would come free with the title.
"That's an incredible amount of content: 36 extra characters, 4 new managers, 26 matches, 46 entire single player stories and cut scenes in 2K Showcase, and a whole lot more," WWE superstar John Cena said.
While fans await the arrival of the game, numerous rumors have cropped up that the upcoming title would have the largest roster ever for the franchise. However, 2K WWE's community manager Marcus Stephenson immediately debunked the reports.
Stephenson replied to fans on Twitter and said that the rumors regarding the "biggest roster" have not been confirmed by anyone on their end. He added that they did not post any tweet of the kind and offered the possibility that it could have been faked with the use of Photoshop.
