Ten-time NHL All-Star Martin Brodeur Lists His New Jersey Home for Under $1M
Hockey veteran, Martin Brodeur who just recently announced his retirement from the NHL, lists his New Jersey home for under $1M, reports Realtor.com.
The 3,300-square-foot New Jersey home of the retired 10-time all-star professional NHL goalie, may be priced under $1M, but the home is considered as one of the more expensive homes in the area.
The West Orange home, resting on 0.4 acres of lot, reportedly includes three bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms.
Basing on the listing photos of the property, the traditional looking home -- with a light brown and white motif -- is in full view from the outside, giving the quaint home a welcoming and inviting impression. The front yard's well-maintained grounds add to its charm.
The ambiance is bright and airy inside, due to high ceilings and tall windows. The NHL player, who played for 21 seasons, made sure the home has masculine features, as seen from its massive dining chairs and leather-lined sofa.
The kitchen and dining complex effortlessly blend modern appeal with the owner's taste for beautiful, but functional woodwork. In the kitchen, one will see immaculately white cabinets, sleek appliances and furnishing, and glistening light fixtures.
A simple but wonderful dining table and another artistic wooden small cabinet, that also functions as a console table, can be found in the breakfast area. Eating inside will be pleasant too, as the dining area offers great views of nature outside.
The home includes a children's playroom that bursts with color, spacious bedrooms with views and interesting themes, and bathrooms with a homey touch. Aside from these, the home's master bedroom contains a grand bed, more views, and a large bathroom with tub and spa-like shower. The living room is also a comfortable space for family bonding, with its bright ambiance and relaxing sofa.
Brodeur to St. Louis
Brodeur is now headed to St. Louis to serve as the St. Louis Blues assistant general manager, reports The Associated Press. He played seven games for the Blues before retiring. Doug Armstrong, the general manager of the Blues, announced the news on Wednesday.
Brodeur, whose expertise led the New Jersey Devils to three Stanley Cup titles and won for himself the Vezina Trophy four times for being the best goalie, is expected to contribute a lot to the team.
"We haven't had an assistant manager living in St. Louis since I've been here. And I think it's very important for this organization moving forward to have someone like that here -- someone that's committed 100 percent of the time, that's vested on every day, every practice, every moment of trying to get the team better," Armstrong told FoxNews.
