NBC ‘Hannibal’ Season 3 Episode 2 Spoilers: Will Graham Is Back With Healed Wounds, On His Way to Europe
The first episode of "Hannibal's" Season 3 is mainly about Hannibal and Bedelia, who have trekked off to Europe together posing as a married couple.
Although Hannibal is still the same murderous cannibal he has been throughout the series, Bedelia plays little to no role in his murders. But even still, she has knowledge of it and is a party to it by proxy.
But in Episode 2 of "Hannibal," which is titled "Primavera" and airs on NBC on June 11, Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) is back. He has survived the attack by Hannibal last season and now the manhunt for his would-be assailant is on, according to Spoilers Guide.
Graham has taken the necessary time for his wounds to heal so that he can undergo the search without being held back by his weakness.
Eight months have passed since that horrific night that ended with Will, Jack, Alana and Abigail sliced open at the hands of Hannibal. Their fates at the end of Season 2 were unknown as Hannibal trekked off into the night, only to vanish from the U.S.
Graham has often relied on his intuition to guide him through most of his career with the F.B.I.
This is also what gives him the notion that his first stop should be in Palermo, Italy. His hunch pays off and he finds a disturbing gift upon arrival. He also finds an unlikely ally, but there's someone he must elude in order to maintain his quest.
Inspector Rinaldo Pazzi (Fortunato Cerlino) becomes suspicious of Graham's presence and soon learns of his hunt. He himself had pursued a killer in Florentine known as "Il Monstro" 20 years earlier, and he soon concludes that Graham's hunt for Hannibal might be the same hunt he has pursued for the past two decades, because Hannibal may in fact be "Il Monstro."
Graham is still a bit unsure of where his allegiances lie in regards to Hannibal, so when Pazzi attempts to enlist him on the hunt for what he believes to be the same man, Graham warns against it.
The new season of "Hannibal" returns to NBC on June 4 at 10 p.m. ET, and Episode 2 airs on June 11.
