WWE SmackDown Spoilers, Results for May 28, 2015: Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins, Kane in Main Event
The road to this Sunday's "WWE Elimination Chamber" continued on "SmackDown" with a tag-team main-event match.
The No.1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Dean Ambrose, opened the show and provided a recap of "Monday Night Raw." After name-dropping Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Justin Bieber, Ambrose highlighted the significance of the World Heavyweight Championship. The opening promo revealed the main event: Ambrose and Reigns against Rollins and Kane.
Along with the tag-team main event, Naomi vs. Paige and Rusev vs. Ryback is confirmed for later in the show.
Tag-team competition is next with The Lucha Dragons vs. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd. To further promote the WWE Tag Team Championship match at "WWE Elimination Chamber," The Ascension, Los Matadores, Prime Time Players and tag team champions The New Day are at ringside as lumberjacks. The Lucha Dragons get the win after Kalisto performed his finisher following what has been described as a great match.
King Bad News Barrett encountered another loss against R-Truth in a short match. Sheamus appeared and attacked both Barrett and Truth as they promote the Intercontinental Championship Elimination Chamber match.
Backstage, Renee Young interviewed Lana. The "Ravishing Russian" is interrupted by Rusev, and they share words. The spotlight on Rusev continued, as his match against Ryback was next. Despite trying to feign a foot injury, Rusev gets disqualified for throwing Ryback to the ring post.
Naomi with Tamina Snuka vs. Paige ended with the latter getting the victory after using the RamPaige DDT. Paige was also able to deliver a big boot to Snuka's face to avoid any interference.
NXT Champion Kevin Owens entered for an interview by Michael Cole. Owens acknowledges his wrestling career, that although he's appeared on WWE's main television for two weeks, he has been performing worldwide for 15 years. Owens said United States Champion John Cena has to prove something to the NXT Champion. After showing NXT footage of Owens beating down Sami Zayn, Owens delivered further threats toward Cena.
The tag-team main event of Ambrose and Reigns against Rollins and Kane ended in disqualification. J&J Security caused the disqualification for interfering in the match when Reigns delivered a Superman Punch and attempted a pin on Rollins. Surprisingly, The New Day emerged to attack Ambrose until Reigns helped clean house. Rollins and Kane resurfaced to further beat down Ambrose and Reigns. Rollins delivered a Pedigree on Ambrose as the show concluded with Kane and Rollins getting boos.
