Samsung Galaxy Note Release, Specs, and News: Galaxy NotePRO & TabPRO Release Confirmed
Samsung introduces bigger screens on its latest range of premium tablets at CES this year, including the new Android models Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO.
There will be four new tablet devices you can expect from the Galaxy NotePR and TabPRO lineup. The NotePRO, the largest, is offered in only the 12.2-inch screen size, while TabPRO tablet will come in 8.4-, 10.1- and 12.2-inch screens. All four tablets feature a WQXGA high-resolution widescreen display (2500x1600), 8-megapixel camera, Android 4.4 (KitKat) and options for 3G or LTE.
The South Korean tech giant has implemented a Magazine UX interface which lets users organize content on various dashboards for easy access. The productivity tools include Multi Window that allows you to split the screen into four windows, Virtual Keyboard with haptic feedback, Remote PC access for editing and file transfer, as well as collaboration platforms like Cisco WebEx Meetings.
The 12.2-inch Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO will also feature approximately $700 worth of prepaid/long-term subscriptions to best optimized content and apps/services, such as Blurb, Evernote, The New York Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, LinkedIn, Hancom Office for Android and more, which will all vary by market.
The main difference between the almost identical TabPRO and NotePRO is that the latter includes Samsung's S-Pen for drawing and taking advantage of other features.
"We don't see this replacing the laptop in its entirely," says Samsung's Ryan Bidan. "We see this as early steps in bring more productivity into the tablet space."
The new Samsung Galaxy tablets are expected to be available in Asia stores in Q1 2014.
