Electric Zoo Transformed Festival Date, Time & Lineup: The Chemical Brothers, Arctic Moon & 3LAU to Perform at Revamped Festival
This year's Electric Zoo Festival will be called Electric Zoo: Transformed. It will include new stages, more restrooms, faster entry lines and a themed experience after the last two festivals disappointed, Billboard reports.
Electric Zoo: Transformed will be held during Labor Day Weekend Sept. 4-6 in New York City's Randall Park.
The 2013 Electric Zoo Festival faced some negative publicity after two attendees died from drug overdoses, Billboard reported. The 2014 Electric Zoo Festival tried to dissuade ticket purchasers from using drugs by showing them public service announcements before they could order tickets. Increased security led to long waits of up to three hours to get in to the venue. 2014's Electric Zoo Festival sold 30 percent fewer tickets than the 2013 version.
For 2015, Electric Zoo: Transformed wants to "start over" according to the festival's producer Made Event.
Made listened to customer feedback and are aiming to make much-needed improvements for this year's festival.
The EDM festival will feature three main headliners: The Chemical Brothers on Friday, Saturday will showcase Above & Beyond, and on Sunday Alesso will close out the show with a performance.
Other headliners set to take the stage during the three-day festival include: 3LAU, Adam Beyer, Adventure Club, Audien, Borgeous, Borgore, Bro Safari, Cashmere Cat, Deorro, Dirty South, DVBBS, Excision, Ferry Corsten, Galantis, Get Real, Madeon and more.
Other artists set to perform include: Alan Fitzpatrick, Alison Wonderland, Amine Edge & DANCE, Ansolo, Arctic Moon, Black Tiger Sex Machine, Brillz, Carlo Lio, Claptone, Com Truise, Coone, Destructo, DJ Marky, Five Knives, Jackal, Kill Them With Colour, Le Youth, Sam Feldt and more.
More artists are still yet to be announced so the lineup could get even larger.
To see the full lineup, go to Electric Zoo's official website. Tickets for general admission to the three-day festival start at $239.99. A $40.80 service fee is also added to the price of the ticket.
