Chris Brown Ready to Seek Sole Custody of Daughter Royalty?
Chris Brown is convinced he is a much more suitable caretaker for his infant daughter than her mother and has plans to seek sole custody of her.
Hollywood Life reports the "Loyal" singer is in the midst of devising a plan that would strip away the custody rights of mom Nia Guzman-Amey and leave him as the child's primary parent.
Up until now, the 26-year-old R&B star had been supporting both his daughter and her mom financially, but the website adds his new plan calls for him to only provide for his daughter.
"Better ease up because Chris will only be pushed so far," a source told Hollywood Life of growing tension between the two over how to best care of and provide for Garold Royalty. "Or else he's going to be pushed so far that he's going to stop the gravy train and go after full custody himself."
Beyond all the bickering, Brown appears genuinely convinced that his daughter would have an overall better life and upbringing with him in Los Angeles than she does now in Houston.
"Chris is more than able to support his daughter on his own," the source added. "He's got the money and has access to all the help he'd need to raise her and the biggest thing of all -- he's got his mother [Joyce Hawkins]. She is jumping at the opportunity to move in with Chris and help take care of Royalty."
Word is Brown is even willing to scale back on his busy work schedule to be there for his daughter. Brown recently missed her Chuck E. Cheese birthday bash, drawing the ire of the 31-year-Guzman.
"She's upset and disappointed in him and feels he should put all his work obligations on the back burner when it comes to Royalty," another source added.
As for rumors Guzman is looking for the kind of money Britney Spears was forced to pay Kevin Federline for their children, somewhere in the neighborhood of $20,000, a source scoffed, "Chris is not going out like that. He will fight Nia tooth and nail to protect his fortune."
