Ever since EA Sports confirmed that "Need For Speed" is coming out with another title this year, many fans of the popular racing game have been eager to see what's new in the upcoming title.

Details have been scarce about the new features in the title but recently, it was revealed that the reboot version will require players to be connected to the Internet for them to fully enjoy the game.

The game developer has taken to social networking site, Twitter, to reveal tidbits about the upcoming title. A representative from EA Sports have posted that the new game will need Internet connection.

"We can confirm that, yes, a connection will be needed to play the game," wrote EA on its official Twitter page. "We will be elaborating on this in the coming weeks."

EA also explained that being online while playing the game will allow players to further enjoy the experience solo as well as with friends.

"To deliver the best experience possible and make playing with friends more rewarding, an online connection will be required," wrote EA.

EA continued, "You will need to be online, but this allows us to push the boundaries of the overall experience we can deliver to the fans."

Some fans have commented that Internet connection could congest the servers and ruin the gameplay but EA replied that they have prepared "fully dedicated servers and great improvements to the AllDRive system" to avoid any possible concerns and issues.

Aside from this, it was also revealed that the game will be available for both single and multiplayer mode. However, no further details have been shared on Twitter.

EA has scheduled its own E3 press conference on June 15, and it is expected that the company will unveil its new titles as well as updates for the "Need for Speed" reboot.

On May 21, the "Need for Speed" teaser trailer was uploaded on YouTube, and the video has already been viewed more than five million times. The full version of the trailer will be also revealed on June 15.

No exact release date has been announced for the title but the official from EA has tweeted that the game will be available in fall 2015.

A post on the Xbox website seemed to have leaked information that the upcoming title is hitting consoles on November 3. The site listed the game and its detail, which included the release date and gameplay modes. The post has since been deleted from the website.
