In Season 4, Episode 13 of the ABC Family series "Melissa and Joey," titled "Call of Duty," Ryder (Nick Robinson) has decided to take stock of his life and give it a new focus. He is shooting to give his life outside of high school new meaning and purpose.

According to Spoilers Guide, the episode airs on Wednesday, June 3, following a long hiatus from the season. The season was split in half, with the first part starting in October and the last episode of the first half aired on March 18.

The second half of Season 4 picks up where the last episode left off.

Ryder was previously dumped by his girlfriend, and he quits his job with AmeriCorps. He soon moves back home with Joe (Joey Lawrence) and Mel (Melissa Joan Hart), where they are trying to help him figure out which direction he wants to go with his life.

Ryder then reveals that he has joined the Navy. Joe had been stunned by this because he wanted him to apply for college. At the time, Mel was trying to get pregnant, so she was emotional when she heard the news. She even comically pointed out that Ryder had almost drowned in the shower once, which lent credence to her concerns about him being aboard a Navy ship.

The recently released video for the upcoming episode reveals that Ryder, although he is still very young and healthy, can barely keep up with simple tasks that need to be accomplished during basic training for the armed forces.

Joe returned home from a three-mile jog with Ryder. But Ryder hadn't quite made it back yet. Joe revealed that Ryder had made the first mile, crawled the second mile and cried the third mile.

When Ryder finally does make it back though, he seems fine until he collapses. Joe seems to be giving him the "what to expect" course for when he goes into basic military training.
