This world is full of diversity and odd hobbies. Secrets of the Living Dolls is a documentary which follows the lives of men who wear a "second skin" and transform into what looks like female sex dolls. This definitely gives a new meaning to the saying "to each their own."

These men are known as "maskers," who are a secret society of people who wear a female doll's skin, masks and outfits to transform into a beautiful woman. But these men aren't single guys with a weird fetish; many of them are actually family men, married with kids, who just simply see masking as a hobby. The documentary will actually follow the men as they choose to reveal their secret identities to family and friends for the first time.

"Robert," a 70-year old divorced man who lives in a suburban mansion in California with his teenage daughter, says the women he dates "don't measure up to what he sees in the mirror when he outs on his second skin". "They don't look anything like this and it's very difficult to date when you have this to come home to." Robert has spent a lot of his spare time creating "Sherry" and will show her to the world when he attends Rubberdoll Redezvous's gathering in Minneapolis soon.

Rubberdoll Redezvous is actually Jon or "Jennifer", a forklift operator and father of six. Jon, has been dedicated to his second identity, Jennifer, for a long time and likes to organize these secret events to join together with fellow maskers. The "practice" which isn't described as anything else but a hobby, doesn't seem to have anything to do with the transgender or drag queen world.

"It's like a beautiful woman walking down the street. You become one of the beautiful people. You get a lot of attention and attention is not something that I've had a lot of," one the men describes. "Female masking" apparently is also a way to boost up the self-esteem. As you can see on the Secrets of the Living Dolls, the men inside of the doll skins respond positively to the hoots and howls of other men on the street.
