Divorce, American Style! Jane Lynch of Glee has announced that she has finalized her divorce from her wife, Lara Embry, as of today. Ladies, get your best dresses on because Sue Sylvester is single again!

TMZ reports that the actress filed for divorce from Embry, a psychologist, in July of last year. As is standard for the Hollywood crowd, Lynch cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split. The couple were married in 2010 and have no children together, though Embry has a child -- Haden -- from a previous relationship.

"Sources close to the former couple tell TMZ ... Lara didn't get close to the $93K she wanted, but did get something. We're told Jane got the house ... which is only fair since she paid for it. Now that the case is settled ... we're told Jane and Lara are on 'very civilized' terms ... even spending time with each other over the holidays," reports TMZ.

But according to The Huffington Post, as far as divorces go, this one is pretty painless and amicable. In fact, the last time Lynch was on Larry King Live, she confirmed that she would remain a good friend to her now-ex-wife. "It's two people who decided it's better to go apart than stay together," she told Larry King. "We have to remain adults, which we have. We keep everybody -- especially Haden's -- good in our mind."

Lynch first gained fame in Christopher Guest's improv mockumentary pictures such as Best in Show. Notable awards she has won for her portrayal of Sue Sylvester in Glee include the Primetime Emmy Award, Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, TCA Award for Individual Achievement in Comedy, Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress -- Series, Miniseries, or Television Film, and the People's Choice Award for Favorite TV Comedy Actress.
