The Google Glass is set to make some brand new innovations as it becomes an essential part of the next Genesis sedan of the Hyundai Motor Co.

Auto News reported that the Google Glass can be used for several operations of the new sedan model like starting the car via remote or even in the process of planning routes. It was the Hyundai company who released a formal statement on how they will come up with an application compatible with the Google Glass and other possible wearable device. This feature of the 2015 Genesis is an expansion of the Korean company's Blue Link-in car system that renders services revolving around maintenance and other diagnostics.

In a separate interview with the spokesman of the company, Miles Johnson reiterated that the use of the Google Glass is only applicable before you even drive the car. "The goal is that when you get to the car to start your trip, the drive is less stressful," he added.

On the other hand, numerous Google Glass competitors emerged and stood out during the recent CES 2014, The Times of India wrote. Vuzix is believed to be the first ever smartglasses that became available in the commercial level. It is the one reported several months ago which can translate written languages to help you get around a foreign country, like Japan for example.

There was also the OrCam mini camera that can be clipped to eyeglass frames and comes with a speaker that is pressed right against the temple of the wearer. It is perceived to hit the market in the coming six months with a $2,500 cost.

Google is still yet to announce the official Google Glass release date this year but several speculated dates lead to the high possibility of the release happening during the earlier parts of 2014.
