iOS 8.3 Jailbreak News: Jailbreak Community Says It Will Find a Way to Jailbreak iOS 9
Even though Apple plans to beef up its security when they release their next major operating system upgrade iOS 9, the jailbreak community is still confident that jailbreaking will be possible, Yibada reports.
For iOS 9, Apple plans to release a security system called Rootless, which is said to make jailbreaking more difficult than it ever has been. The system will disable access to certain security files that jailbreakers often need to perform a successful jailbreak, even at the administrative level.
In order to perform a jailbreak, users need to find vulnerabilities in certain files in the operating system and exploit them. Rootless might make it very difficult to exploit the operating system.
The jailbreak community is still remaining confident it will be able to get past the newly improved security system in the upcoming iOS 9.
YouTube user iCrackuriDevice is confident that jailbreaking has not come to an end. The user does not know exactly what Rootless will do to jailbreaking until he sees the firmware, but he still says jailbreaking will continue.
The YouTube user also added that the jailbreaking team TaiG does not require root privileges to complete a jailbreak for iOS 8.0. By not having to access the security files that Rootless is aiming to disable access to, an iOS 9 jailbreak should still be possible.
A jailbreak for iOS 8.3 has still not been fully released. The jailbreak community might be continuing to wait until iOS 8.4 is released before releasing a jailbreak. Jailbreak developers fear that if they release a jailbreak for iOS 8.3, Apple will quickly create a patch in iOS 8.4, making the jailbreak useless. iOS 8.4 will be the last update to the operating system before iOS 9 is released sometime this fall. According to Master Herald, there have already been several beta tests for iOS 8.4.
