Miley Cyrus Marc Jacobs Campaign: Adore You Singer Poses with Dead Girl on Spring/Summer 2014 Advertisement [PIC]
She keeps her tongue in and fully clothes herself -- Miley Cyrus has been chosen by her "fashion mentor" and transforms into someone quite unrecognizable on the latest Spring/Summer 2014 ad campaign for Marc Jacobs.
Shot by fashion photographer David Sims, Cyrus is seen on a sandy beach along with two models, Natalie Westling and Esmeralda Seay Reynolds, in a post-apocalyptic setting. The new face of the fashion house has her expressions unusually morose on the shots.
The "Adore You" singer is clad in an ornate navy blue jacket with black embellishments, burgundy dress shorts and a pair of cozy black shoes detailed with white embroidery. She gives hipster edge to balance the classy luxury clothes with her darkened blonde hair, Goth nail polish and exposed wrist and hand tattoos, while her natural make-up gives her a slight androgynous look.
The ads were styled by LOVE magazine editor-in-chief Katie Grand, who also chose the 21-year-old on the latest cover of her publication.
"We wanted this beach with girls kind of sulky and broody, and we thought it would be cool if it was Miley with what could be two friends, feeling distant and quite dark," the designer said of the concept.
Jacobs then continued by explaining why the twerking pop star was chosen for the new campaign: "We all just love her and her entire being, her energy, her talent, her intelligence, everything. There's nothing I don't like about her. She is just genuine and very natural."
In addition, Miley Cyrus previously wore Marc Jacobs' floor-length sparkly green sequined gown to the Met Ball, and presented him with the Superstar Award at the recent Fashion Group International's 30th Annual Night of Stars Awards in October. A few weeks later, the "Wrecking Ball" singer appeared on The X Factor, wearing the designer's gold crepe dress matched with an interesting black turban by Brick Lane. She also took part in his "Protect The Skin You're In" movement, stripping off to appear on a T-shirt, supporting the skin cancer awareness charity.
