Teresa Giudice to Be Released Early from Prison, Will Reportedly Be Home Around Christmastime
Teresa Giudice is slated to be granted an early release from the Danbury Federal Correctional Facility, paving the way for "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star to be back home sometime around Christmastime.
According to North Jersey News, the 43-year-old Giudice is expected to immediately begin home confinement on her release as a means of serving out the remainder of her sentence. The Federal Bureau of Prisons currently lists her release date as Feb. 5, 2016.
Giudice began serving a 15-month sentence on mortgage and bankruptcy fraud charges in early January. Her husband, Joe, is scheduled to commence serving a near four year sentence on similar charges immediately following her release. Currently, he still resides in the couple's 10,000-square-foot Montville home with the couple's four young daughters.
Since his wife's incarceration, Joe Giudice has been dogged by allegations of cheating and infidelity. According to People, he was recently accused of "hooking up" with 30-year-old Atlantic City model Jamie Jackson, a charge they both deny.
Just the same, all the noise recently prompted daughter Gia to take to her Twitter page to defend her family.
"Honestly hilarious how people go out of their way to make my family look bad..," she said.
Meanwhile, Teresa Giudice is rumored to be leaning toward rejoining the cast of "Real Housewives" once she has been formally released.
"Anyone who has watched that show since the very first episode understands that Teresa Giudice is the central figure around which the show revolves," her attorney James J. Leonard Jr. recently told reporters.
The Danbury camp is the same facility where the likes of real-estate tycoon Leona Helmsley, singer Lauryn Hill and "Orange is the New Black" author Piper Kerman have all served out their sentences.
