Sarah Palin is lashing out at what she says calls "liberal media" bias against Josh Duggar, the conservative Christian reality star who sexually assaulted five underage girls – four being his sisters – when he was a teenager.

Last month, it was revealed that the 27-year-old "19 Kids And Counting" star groped four of his sisters and another girl when he was 15 years old. Following the revelations, his parents defended his actions during an interview with Fox News host Megan Kelly, which has received tons of backlash.

On Thursday, Palin and her daughter, Bristol, jumped into the fanfare by claiming that the controversy surrounding Duggar's molestations revelations is being driven by left-leaning media outlets. She also made the claim that the same outlets gave HBO "Girls" star Lena Dunham a free pass when she talked about exploring her little sister's body when they were children in her 2014 memoir, "Not That Kind of Girl".

"The intolerant left's destructive personal intrusions and narrow-mindedness applied to their chosen targets are bad enough, but their double standards are beyond the pale," Palin wrote in a lengthy Facebook post.

"I'm not defending the Duggar boy's obvious wrongdoing over a decade ago. The main victim in any story like this isn't the perpetrator, it's the innocent ones so harmfully affected. I'm not an apologist for any sexual predator, but I'm sickened that the media gives their chosen ones a pass for any behavior as long as they share their leftwing politics. Case in point, they suggest Lena Dunham's sexual assault on her sibling is cute, and she's rewarded for it with fame and fortune. Meanwhile, they crucify another, along with an entire family," continued the former Alaska governor.

Palin also took a direct jab at Dunham, calling her out for being a "pedophile."

"Hey Lena, why not laugh off everyone's sexual 'experiments' as you haughtily enjoy rewards for your own perversion? You pedophile, you," the former GOP Vice Presidential candidate wrote in all caps.

She continued by saying that the media was obsessed with targeting the entire Duggar family, even though there is only person she believes did anything wrong. At the same time, she thinks Dunham is getting a "total pass" for her "perverted actions."
