Last week, millions tuned in as "Hannibal's" Season 3 kicked off with an episode titled "Antipasto," which featured Hannibal Lecter and Bedelia Du Maurier posing as a married couple in Europe.

Although the last episode was fairly slow paced, according to IGN, this week the show will delve a little further into the situation it has created for itself during its new residency. The episode is titled "Primavera," and it airs on NBC Thursday at 9 p.m. ET, according to TV Guide.

This is the episode avid fans of the show have been waiting to see, which was expected in the first one last week. Although viewers did not get ambulances rushing to the scene of Hannibal's carnage from the last episode of Season 2, they will now get to see what happened after that and who lived.

The TV Guide synopsis reveals viewers finally get to see Will Graham back in action. He has taken the necessary time to heal in order to restart his pursuit of Hannibal across Europe.

This will be no easy task, but Hannibal is well aware of Will's impending journey, and he has even left him clues. This can be considered a follow up from the first two seasons that have established a clear relationship between the two characters, who have helped each other and even benefitted from one another's company.

Hannibal clearly felt betrayed by Will and Jack last season, leading him to slightly homicidal knife-wielding. As of now, it is unclear who survived the attack.

Will's hunch leads him to Italy, and his pursuit is quickly picked up on by a local investigator who thinks Lecter is the same man he has been hunting for years now. Will warns the man against joining him, because he is still unsure where his allegiances lie in regards to Hannibal.

Showrunner Bryan Fuller did a phone interview with Zap2it and revealed why he made fans wait until Episode 2 to see Will again.

"We left the finale in Season 2 in Hannibal's shoes. I wanted to make sure that we're picking up and telling Hannibal's story, and focusing on he and Bedelia's (Gillian Anderson) relationship," Fuller told Zap2it.

"I wanted the audience to feel the yearning for Will Graham that Hannibal feels. The best way to do that was to withhold him as he is being withheld from Hannibal, and then start to tell Will's story. It felt like an organic continuation from Season 2 to begin with Hannibal and Bedelia as we left Season 2 with Hannibal and Bedelia, and tell their story for an episode, and then tell Will's story for an episode, and then start to integrate those stories and chase those other narratives."
