The Internet is abuzz with rumors that Gigi Hadid and Joe Jonas are dating each other after the beautiful model ended her on again, off again relationship with Cody Simpson.

Days after releasing a joint statement regarding the breakup, Hadid and Jonas were spotted eating lunch together, according to Hollywood Life.

They further fueled dating rumors when they started to publicly spend more time with one another. Us Weekly reported that they were seen getting quite intimate with one another at the Boom Boom Room during Refinery29’s party, where they were reportedly kissing.

A couple of days after the event, they also attended the 100th Anniversary party of Maybelline New York, noted E! Online.

On Friday, they were also seen strolling through New York City streets after hanging out at a bar, noted Pop Sugar. They also went to witness the Formula One World Championship in Montreal the next day. 

Apparently, it was Jonas who “reached out to her after she split with Cody,” an insider revealed to Hollywood Life. Hadid has been good friends with Jonas but “She did not see him as often, out of respect for her then-boyfriend, but she always considered him a good friend,” the source added.

But how is Simpson taking Jonas and Hadid's growing closeness? 

The former couple broke up to focus on their respective careers but promised that they will remain “each other’s biggest supporters,” their joint statement read.

However, another source told Hollywood Life that the Australian pop star was not so keen with Jonas taking his former girlfriend out. “Cody thinks that Gigi should have waited to move on because he thought they had something really special,” the source revealed. “He is not over it. And, now that she has moved on so fast, he is not taking it so well.”

Although Jonas and Hadid have been spotted in different places in numerous occasions, the Hollywood Life source added that they were actually “not rushing anything just yet,” especially since Jonas was well aware that Hadid was “still nursing some heartbreak.”

“They are taking things incredibly slowly,” claimed the insider. “They will just see where this goes for the time being. Whatever happens, though, they are sure they will always remain very tight pals.”
