WWE News & Rumors: Vince McMahon Planning a Hulk Hogan & John Cena Match at Wrestlemania 32
Wrestlemania 32 is still a long way off but fans of the annual wrestling event from World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. are already eager to know who will be participating in the match.
Word is out that WWE CEO Vince McMahon is cooking a match that would draw more people into the event.
According to reports, the crowd-attracting match that McMahon has in mind is between the reigning WWE United States Champion John Cena and WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan.
The people in WWE are looking to break records in the upcoming Wrestlemania 32 event. Wrestlemania 32 opened to a record-breaking attendance and gross sales in the entire Wrestlemania history of WWE. As such, they are already looking for names that would attract people to watch the matches.
The 61-year-old wrestler has already expressed his desire to appear in one last match, a goodbye wrestling fight, and he thought that next year's event would be the perfect way to send him off.
Hogan was in Melbourne, Australia, when he revealed to the press that he already told McMahon of his wish to fight in Wrestlemania 32 and that it could be his last professional match ever.
"So I stopped Vince McMahon in the hallway and said, 'Let me tell you something brother, there's no way you're running Wrestlemania next year without Hulk Hogan on the card,'" the wrestler said, as quoted by Contact Music.
"Whether it's for my last hurrah and it's my retirement match, whether it's for my next run or whether it's to just beat whoever's got the WWE title and become the champion again. If you guys are in that stadium next year, I'm going to be there," he added.
According to Hogan, the WWE CEO agreed and even said that he "looks forward" to the match.
The 12-time world champion said that he is doing his best to get back in the ring and would consider all options to see himself fight again.
Hogan, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, has been plagued with numerous injuries over the years that limit his moves in a game. Even his signature boot and "big leg drop" might be a challenge for him to do, said Sportskeeda.
Some reports have said that McMahon would give him a fight if the wrestler would be cleared in medical.
Should his match be given the green light, it seems that a fight with John Cena is the best option, since the two almost faced in Wrestlemania 25 years ago. However, Hogan's back injury prevented him from coming into the match, wrote The National.
McMahon has yet to comment on the rumors.
