Fans everywhere have been wondering just how much of the upcoming, highly anticipated "Batman v Superman" film will go dark. That has been the question from the get-go, along with who is going to be a "bad guy" or if they are both morphing into anti-heroes.

But Collider sort of has an answer.

It is safe to say that just like in all their movies, neither one of them is going to turn into a "bad guy" nor an anti-hero, but both have came close to it in the past. Instead, both will square off with each other to make sure that neither is too powerful that they cannot be stopped just in case.

"Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before," according to the synopsis.

That lends credence to the fact that Batman, being an actual human being and protective of his race, doubts the intentions of Superman considering he is an alien. His powers could at anytime turn on humanity, should he will them to.

So fans can rest easy knowing that the Caped Crusader is doing the battle if, for nothing else, to see what kind of weaknesses Superman may have, just in case his actions go against humanity.

On another note, Superman has classically been seen as the "All-American" hero who fights for "Truth, Justice and the American Way." So could it be that politics will play a theme in this epic battle, or could politics already have been inserted into it before it began?

Fans already know, according to The Huffington Post, that Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) will be featured in the film. So it is more likely that this "Dawn of Justice" universe is shaping up to become another superhero mega-hit franchise, just like the "Avengers" franchise and Marvel Cinematic Universe already is.
