A few days ago, former Partridge Family star & teen heart-throb David Cassidy was arrested on suspicion of DUI after, supposedly, he had gotten into a dispute with someone over his erstwhile show. As we sit and ponder how the mighty have once fallen (and one need only look at that mugshot to see for oneself), here are the list of the top 10 child stars who were once amazing... and now are not so much.

10. Danny Bonaduce: Cassidy's Partridge Family co-star admitted that he was so addicted to crack, he got burns on his fingers because he couldn't wait for the crack pipe to cool from the first rock before lighting up the next one. He's been arrested for drug possession, domestic assault, and battery. In 2005, he starred in "Breaking Bonaduce," where he and his now-ex-wife Gretchen chronicled their faltering marriage and subsequent divorce.

9. Corey Haim: Haim was the heart-throb of the 1980's -- he, along with co-star Corey Feldman, were dubbed "The Two Coreys" at the time. But in the 1990s, he couldn't make the transition from "teen scream" to "serious adult star," and as an end result, he became addicted to drugs. After 15 attempts at rehab over the years -- and a reality show co-starring Corey Feldman -- Haim died in 2010 of a drug overdose at the age of 38.

8. Brad Renfro: Unlike the other child stars on the list, Renfro was one of the rare few who was being taken seriously as an actor after his starring turn in The Client alongside Susan Sarandon and Tommy Lee Jones. But like the other child stars on the list, the lure of the Hollywood fast life was too much for the young actor to avoid, and he died at the age of 25 in Los Angeles. He leaves behind a son, who is being raised by his mother in seclusion in Japan.

7. Jodie Sweetin: Best known as adorable Stephanie Tanner on Full House, the middle Tanner child has been arrested numerous times for crystal meth possession. Recently, too, she cleared up her outstanding IRS troubles.

6. Edward Furlong: Furlong exploded onto the teen scene in the early 1990s with a starring turn in Terminator 2: Judgement Day. At that time, as well, his highly-publicized family troubles forbode a darker time to come. Today, he's back in jail after violating his probation (being held with no bond), and is awaiting trial later this month.

5. Macaulay Culkin: Like Furlong, the Home Alone star and erstwhile boyfriend of Mila Kunis had more family drama than a daytime soap opera at the height of his career, so it made sense that he would translate those troubles into later dramas. Even though he had some indie success as an actor -- in one film, Party Monster, he played fallen club kid Michael Alig -- he was subsequently arrested on various drug possession charges in the 2000s, and has been seen in New York City looking near-homeless.

4. Shia LaBeouf: He got his start on Even Stevens on The Disney Channel, and we've all seen his latest spate of plagiarism travails. He's also gotten into bar fights, and (sort of) admitted to being incestuous with his mom.

3. Haley Joel Osment: He made his mark on Hollywood with four words -- "I see dead people!" -- in The Sixth Sense. But in 2006, he was arrested for drunk driving, and subsequently served a brief stint in jail.

2. Lindsay Lohan: Lindsay Lohan has not only become a walking punchline, she's the perfect example of what not to do when one becomes a star. Better yet -- she's the reason why you shouldn't be a child star in the future.

1. Dana Plato: Tragedy all around -- young, beautiful, yet so troubled. Died young and left a beautiful corpse, but other than that, she will live on in infamy.
