'Finding Carter' Season 2 Summer Finale Spoilers: Carter Testifies Against Lori to Escape Manipulation
“Finding Carter,” the MTV teen drama that centers on a girl, Kathryn Prescott, whose life goes crazy when it is revealed that the woman she has always considered her mother actually abducted her as a kid, is gearing up for its summer finale.
In Episode 11 of Season 2, aptly named “Wrecking Ball,” Lori (Milena Govich) is shown to be even nuttier than previously thought, when its comes out that she has a sort of grand plan to get Carter to love her again. Then, Taylor (Anna Jacoby-Heron) and Crash (Caleb Ruminer) find out about Carter and Max (Alex Saxon) sleeping together and got dutifully upset about it.
As reported in CarterMatt, in the summer finale titled, "I'm Not the Only One," Carter will be prepared to testify in court in order to put an end to Lori’s manipulative hold on her world.
In a 2014 interview with Cosmopolitan, Prescott -- who hails from the U.K. -- spoke about the phenomena of kidnapping and how it seems to her to be a uniquely stateside phenomena.
“The milk carton thing is definitely American,” said the 24-year-old actress, adding that she remembers that while watching American television as a kid “there was an overly extreme amount of fear and attention paid to child abduction.”
“Obviously, kids do get abducted in the States and in the U.K., and it's horrendous,” she said. “But I don't know why there's more constant fear around it in America.”
For someone from across the pond, Prescott carries off her American accent with admirable ease, a talent she chalks up to years of auditioning for American roles before actually getting her first job in the states. And the mannerism has apparently just stuck with her, as Prescott explains.
“When we did the pilot I spoke in the American accent the whole time, and now when I'm on set I use it whether we're filming or not," she said.
The summer finale of “Finding Carter” airs June 16 on MTV.
