'Battlefield 4' Bugs, Fixes & Patch Update: DICE Releases New Patches for PS3 and PS4
DICE released 'Battlefield 4' patches for PS3 and PS4 users after dishing out an update for the PC version of the game.
The makers of the first-person shooter video game released fixes for PC, PS3 and PS4 versions in light of the numerous and oft-complained bugs, crashes and other game issues.
The PS3 and PS4 patch mainly addresses "some stability and balancing issues."
Based on the PS3 and PS4 game update notes, some common issues between the two platforms that are addressed with the update are general stability, a "player feedback timing issue where blood was appearing before other damage indicators, and before damage was actually done," and a certain bug where "it looked like a soldier was dying with 1 health instead of 0."
Technical issues unique to the PS3 according to DICE's notes include things such as a camera glitch that occurs when a player switches weapons while moving in crouch, an "animation glitch for motorbike passengers occurring when aiming," and out of sync animations for first and third person soldier during transition changes have been addressed in the patch.
PS4 users who run the game in any of the following languages, Japanese, Dutch, Portuguese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Czech and Brazilian Portuguese will also no longer have to worry of the game failing to start, says the PS4 game update notes. It added that flickering in map and minimap on Rogue Transmission and Operation Locker were also fixed among other issues.
"We at DICE have a long tradition of supporting our games and our community well after the release of a title. While millions of players are enjoying Battlefield 4, we are aware that some players are experiencing issues with the game. While some platforms have had only minor problems, others have had more than their fair share of issues. Resolving these is our #1 priority," reads the BF4 Control Room thread by DICE.
Fixes for issues, bugs and glitches of BF 4 will also be out following patches for the PS3 and PS4 platforms such as those for Xbox 360 and Xbox One. To view the full PS3 game update notes, click HERE. For PS4 gamers, the game update notes can be found HERE.
