"Game of Thrones" has been a smash hit for HBO since its inception in 2011. Fans have been enamored with the Westeros universe, and the original author of the book series, fantasy author George R.R. Martin, has now confirmed he currently has three other shows in development for HBO and Cinemax, according to The Wrap.

Martin disclosed this new information in a blog post, which was initially posted to ask fans to quit sending him their complaints.

The post started out with everything that is on Martin's plate, which includes a busy season of appearances, writing and, of course, his upcoming shows on the premium cable networks.

"Life is impossibly busy right now. I am wrestling with the Son of Kong (that is, working on 'The Winds of Winter'), trying to wrap up a final round of edits and revisions on the 23rd Wild Cards book 'High Stakes'), developing three new series concepts for HBO and Cinemax, hiring writers and directors for three short low-budget films I am hoping to produce based on some classic SF short stories (more on that in the months to come)...," he said.

Martin added that he has a few more other things on his plate, such as hosting a special event with 10 authors for the release of "The Change," which is part of Steve Stirling's "Emberverse" anthology. And his appearances don't end there. The author also has to fly to Europe, specifically Germany and Sweden, where he will be honored.

It's no wonder Martin said that he was stressed on the post.

There is currently no word on exactly what is in production, and HBO has declined to comment on the projects to The Wrap.

Martin then addressed the controversy surrounding recent episodes of "Game of Thrones." Many fans have complained about Sansa being raped by Ramsay and the young Shireen being killed at the hands of her father.

"Meanwhile, other wars are breaking out on other fronts, centered around the last few episodes of 'Game of Thrones.' It is not my intention to get involved in those, nor to allow them to take over my blog and website, so please stop emailing me about them, or posting off-topic comments here on my Not a Blog," he said.

He encouraged viewers to express their concerns in many different places, but he just did not want to see it on his website.
