Lawyers for embattled comedian Bill Cosby are seeking to have the California Supreme Court throw out a suit filed against him by a woman claiming he molested her at the Playboy Mansion when she was just 15-years-old.

According to the LA Times, representatives for Cosby filed the petition for review on Tuesday after the Court of Appeals rejected their motion to have a judge overturn a lower court's decision on the suit brought by Judy Huth.

In her suit, Huth charges that in 1974, she and a 16-year-old friend met Cosby at a San Marino Park, that he gave her alcohol and took her back to the mansion, where the attack allegedly took place.

Huth's case is one of dozens of such sexual assault accusations Cosby now faces. In her instance, the Los Angeles County district attorney's office has declined to file charges against the 77-year-old Hollywood legend, noting the 40-year-old case is past the statute of limitations.

Huth's attorney, Gloria Allred, said she plans to file an opposition, fighting Cosby's petition.

"We look forward to continuing to fight for Ms. Huth's right to have her allegations against Mr. Cosby decided at trial in the Los Angeles County Superior Court," she said in a statement.

Previously, Cosby's attorney, Martin D. Singer, has accused Huth of only bringing suit against Cosby after he rejected an "outrageous demand for money in order not to make her allegations public."

Singer alleges attorneys for Huth's first demanded a payment of $100,000 then raised the amount to $250,000. He also alleges that Huth once tried to sell her story to the tabloids without success.

Singer also strongly denied Huth's assertions that she once drank with Cosby, describing his client as a "lifelong nondrinker."
