Caitlyn Jenner was spotted in knee high boots with a big umbrella protecting her from the rain as she stepped out to speak to the Los Angeles LGBT Youth Center on Tuesday, Entertainment Online reports.

Just a few days ago, the transgender woman came out as herself after battling with gender identity for most of her life. Vanity Fair featured her exclusive story as the 65-year-old posed on the front cover of the magazine.

In ET's exclusive photos, the reality TV star is wearing a black shirt, knee high boots, skinny jeans and a designer cross-body bag. It looks like she stopped for a cup of coffee on her way to the event as well.

After giving a motivational speech at the LGBT youth center, Caitlyn stayed for two hours with her camera crew and body guards to tour the place and speak to the program manager for the Center's Transgender Economic Empowerment Project.

The program helps transgender people find jobs and to develop professional skills in a society where they experience unemployment at twice the rate of the national population. Caitlyn also talked to people who have used the Center's services in their lives.

Last week, the LGBT activist spent time at the Human Rights Campaign in San Francisco while meeting with other transgender people in the LGBT community.

Caitlyn's visit to the L.A. LGBT Youth Center marked her first public appearance since her Vanity Fair debut, Yahoo! reports.

"She also dropped off a donation to the Center's clothes closet, which youth can access for clean, gently used clothing," the organization said in a press release.

The star has an upcoming documentary series titled "I Am Cait" where she chronicles her journey as a transgender woman. At the beginning of the year, Caitlyn told the world that she is a woman at the time when she was still known as former Olympian Bruce Jenner.
