"Avengers" star Jeremy Renner knows how to do business with the recent sale of a classic Hollywood Hills home, which he renovated and restored with business partner, actor Kristoffer Winters.

The 44-year-old actor, who plays Hawkeye in the Marvel superhero film franchise, has sold the Hollywood Hills mansion property for $4.3 million, Los Angeles Times reported.

Six years ago, it was valued on the market for $1.35 million, or less than one-third of its selling price now. It had an asking price of $4.8 million in February with all furnishings included. But even with half a million dollars discount, Renner and Winters still got a good deal.

The agents who brokered the sale were listing agents Branden Williams and Rayni Romito Williams of Hilton & Hyland, an affiliate of Christie's International Real Estate and buyer's agent, Stephen Resnick from the same office.

House with rich history

The Hollywood Hills house was once the residence of filmmaker and "Father of Screwball Comedy" Preston Sturges, according to the Times.

Constructed in the 1920s, the 7,000-square-foot residence showcases grandeur and comfortable living hand-in-hand. It has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, an updated kitchen, a family room and a formal living room.

The two-story mansion also boasts a 1,800-square-foot great room that promises a relaxing living area equipped with a fireplace and an original copper-topped bar.

Apart from the main residence, there is a 1,200-square-foot guesthouse that comes with three bedrooms, a dining area, and a kitchen, for the new owners' visitors to stay.

The timeless residence also features amazing views of the city and the lush grounds. A fountain also completes the carefully-manicured yard. The rooftop terrace adds charm to the property and provides a breathtaking view of the city.

Meanwhile, the actor's acting career is still on a high. He is part of the stellar cast of "Captain America: Civil War" as Hawkeye, which will be released on May 6, 2016.

Pretty soon, on July 31, 2015, Renner will be seen in the highly-anticipated Tom Cruise-starrer film "Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation," along with Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, America Olivo, Alec Baldwin and Sean Harris.
