iOS 8.3 Jailbreak News: Jailbreak Solution Expected in July
The jailbreak community has patiently waited for an updated jailbreak solution for the latest Apple operating system iOS 8.3. Now, an updated jailbreak may be coming in July, according to Techno Buffalo.
The faster a jailbreak is released the better because iOS 8.4 is just around the corner. iOS 8.4 could release a security patch to make an iOS 8.3 jailbreak useless.
However, it might be an advantage to wait until iOS 8.4 is released and encourage iOS jailbreakers not to update to iOS 8.4. If the iOS 8.3 jailbreak is released after iOS 8.4 comes out, Apple will not be able to release a security patch until iOS 9 is released.
The new untethered jailbreak was previewed by the Pangu team at the Mobil Security Conference in Shanghai. The Pangu team has not yet announced if it plans to make the jailbreak available to the public, according to iJailbreak.
A member of the Pangu jailbreak team, Daniel_4K, was excited about the demo of the iOS 8.3 and posted an update to Weibo regarding it.
The Pangu team might also be hard at work on a jailbreak for iOS 8.4.
Pangu is the team that jailbreakers should keep an eye on for an iOS 8.3 or 8.4 jailbreak, because the other well-known jailbreak team, TaiG, has already said it has no plans of releasing a jailbreak for these two operating systems. TaiG says it will, instead, focus on an iOS 9 jailbreak.
iOS 9 could be the hardest operating system to jailbreak once it is released. Apple has plans to release a new security feature called Rootless. This feature will make it nearly impossible to access protected files on Apple devices, even for administrative-level users.
Jailbreaking works when users find vulnerabilities in the operating system. They exploit these vulnerabilities in order to modify the operating system and install apps and files that are normally unapproved by Apple.
