Kristen Stewart New Movie Update: Actress Takes Movie Role that Jennifer Lawrence Turned Down; Stars Alongside Nicholas Hoult
The latest news with Kristen Stewart oddly includes Jennifer Lawrence's real life boyfriend Nicholas Hoult. The former Twilight star has just signed on to do Equals, a love story based on the novel 1984.
Yahoo Celebrity reports how the star shared how "terrified" she is to do the movie as she was interviewed by the Associated Press. She is set to do the flick alongside Hoult. And to make it more interesting, it is a role that was originally offered to the Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence. Director Drake Doremus had Lawrence as his first choice but the award winning actress turned down the role with reason that she could not envision herself playing the character.
According to Telegraph UK, the movie is the first of Doremus which he did not write himself. Kristen described the movie as an updated rendition of the 1956 film which will highlight the subject of rebellion within a repressed society.
The movie will start shooting during the latter part of this year. "It's about love in a world where love really doesn't exist anymore," the film director shared with AP.
Talking about dropping and taking roles, Daily Mail UK made a great reveal that Jennifer Lawrence was not the original choice too for the movie Silver Linings Playbook where she achieved grand slam best actress awards. It was now exposed that it first belonged to Anne Hathaway.
The executive producer of the movie also added that it was supposed to be Mark Wahlberg and not Bradley Cooper for the male lead part. Mr. Harvey Weinstein further confessed that it did not work out as originally planned since the director David O'Russell had several creative differences with Anne Hathaway. Jennifer did not have any differences at all with O'Russell that she even worked again with him for the most recent movie American Hustle.
Luckily, it did not turn out as bad for Anne too after dropping the role since she also took home several awards for her part as Fantine in the remake of the classic Les Miserables.
