‘Hannibal’ Season 3 Episode 3 Spoilers: Jack Crawford Heads to Europe to Save Will [Watch]
The madness that is so inherent to the immensely popular "Hannibal" series on NBC was certainly present last week with Will Graham (Hugh Dancy). But in Episode 3 of "Hannibal's" third season, titled "Secondo," fans will get a more focused view of reality when Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) comes back into the picture, according to Spoilers Guide.
Last week, Will had been suffering from post-traumatic delusions, seeing Abigail Hobbs and speaking with her, in terms of her living state. But viewers quickly found out that it was Abigail who did not survive last season's ferocious finale, which left the beloved character's fate hanging in the wind.
Graham's own sanity is hanging in the balance, warning the Italian inspector that he should not be in the catacombs alone and even divulging that he did not know whose side he was on.
In this episode, Crawford comes back into the picture, arriving in Italy to find Will and to stop another catastrophe before it happens. It is his hope to find Will before the potential tragedy can strike, sort of like a last ditch effort to not only save him from Hannibal but to preserve Will's sanity.
Will has ventured out, and he now arrives at Hannibal's childhood home to seek the answers he so boldly desires. Will's own obsession with Hannibal has struck the familiar pose of an affection, which has been requited by the monstrous title character.
He is then introduced to Chiyoh, the former attendant to Will's aunt who has a mysterious presence looming over her that Will picks up on, though he is obviously undeterred.
In other events, Hannibal and Bedelia continue with their life and the progression of the patient-doctor scenario has flip-flopped a couple of times. But in this episode it is Bedelia who warns Hannibal not to unravel his new life, given the potential consequences and fallout.
TV Guide reports that this episode airs on NBC this Thursday at 9 p.m. EDT.
