When you log on to Netflix in the future, you will notice that there will be more Spanish-related content. Netflix is going universal.

Netflix has announced that it will create a series of Spanish-related content for its viewers starting with the debut of the Netflix series "Clubs de Cuervos" on Aug. 7.

Created by Mexican filmmaker Gaz Alazraki ("Nosotros los Nobles"), "Club de Cuervos" is described as a perfect balance between comedy and drama and deals with a dispute between members of a wealthy family, who, after the death of the patriarch, are scrambling to determine who will take over the club soccer "Los Cuervos de Nuevo Toledo."

The series stars Mariana Mendez and Luis Gerardo Trevino, and also includes Stephanie Cayo, Daniel Gimenez Cacho, Ianis Guerrero and Antonio de la Vega.

Netflix will not stop there. According to ViveloHoy, original novelas and series will be debuting in the future. Netflix already announced the names of the novelas. They are:

  • "Maria la del Barrio"
  • "Rebelde"
  • "The Usurpadora"
  • "Rubí"

Also Spanish-language documentaries and more original Spanish-language content will be coming in the near future.

Ted Sarandos, director of content for Netflix, stated: "We are excited to work with Univision and Telemundo as well as a variety of wonderful creators of Latin American content that will enrich our offer of Hispanic titles in the United States, allowing families to watch together their favorite shows whenever and however they want."

Netflix serves in more than 50 countries and more than 62 million people. Over 100,000,0000 hours of series and movies are available everyday

The service could include more foreign languages content, which would be a big step in the right direction for this company.

Netflix first started in 1997 and is now worth $36.6 billion.
