The 2015 United States Open is almost here. This represents the second major of the year after the Masters. After the U.S. Open, only the British Open and PGA Championship remain.

This year's U.S. Open will be played at Chambers Bay in Washington State. Many golf fans and experts have criticized the golf course as "not worthy" enough for a major championship, but it will just have to do for this Week. The U.S. Open begins on Thursday, June 18 and will end on Sunday, June 21.

Notable Tee Times for Thursday and Friday

10:33 a.m. and 4:33 p.m. Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson, Angel Cabrera

This could very well be the most interesting group of the competition. Mickelson has won five career majors, but he has yet to win the US Open. Incredibly, Mickelson has placed second at US Open six times dating back to 1999. Could this finally be the year Mickelson wins the career grand slam? Bubba Watson has won two of the last four Masters tournaments, and Angel Cabrera is a very underrated golfer. The 45-year-old from Argentina won this event in 2009.

11:28 a.m. and 5:28 p.m. Martin Kaymer, Gunn Yang, Rory McIlroy

This group is all about Martin Kaymer and Rory McIlroy. McIlroy is the up and comer having won four majors since 2011. He won the US Open back in 2011. As for Kaymer, he is the defending US Open champion. This group features two elite golfers each aiming to win their second career US Open title, and prove to the world who the best really is.

5:17 p.m. and 11:17 a.m. Jordan Spieth, Jason Day, Justin Rose

A diverse group that features three golfers from three different countries. Jordan Spieth won the 2015 Masters championship in record breaking fashion. Spieth is just 21 years old, and he placed 17th in last year's US Open. A second consecutive major victory for Spieth would do wonders for his young career. Justin Rose won this event back in 2013, while Jason Day has placed second here twice. In 2013 he placed second to Rose. Time for revenge?

2:28 p.m. and 8:28 a.m. Tiger Woods, Rickie Fowler, Louis Oosthuizen

What a fall it has been for Tiger Woods. Woods has won 14 career major championships, but he hasn't won a single major since the 2008 U.S. Open. Woods is now ranked No. 195 in the world golf rankings, and his driving accuracy has never been worse. Woods has won the US Open three times. Rickie Fowler has never won the US Open, but he finish second last year. As for Louis Oosthuizen, his best US Open finish was in 2011 when he placed ninth overall. he did win the British Open (where he lives) in 2010.

The cut will be determined by average scores after Friday, the second day of play. The remaining players who make the cut will play both Saturday and Sunday for the chance to win it all.
