Jeb Bush on Jimmy Fallon: GOP Candidate 'Slow Jams' on Tonight Show [Watch]
Just one day after officially launching his bid in the 2016 presidential election, Jeb Bush stopped by "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" where he participated in a sexually charged "Slow Jam The News" session and talked about his falling in love with his wife in Mexico.
During his appearance on the popular late night talk show on Tuesday, the former Republican Florida governor was featured on the show's "Slow Jam The News" skit, where he talked about his campaign, while TV host Jimmy Fallon used double entendre to ask him questions and provide commentary.
At one point during the performance, Bush was referred to as the "white LeBron [James.]" In another part of the skit, Fallon, who was impersonating at 1970's "soul man," asked Bush about his stance on immigration. After giving a vague answer, the former Republican governor then repeated his answer in Spanish.
"Whoa, hold the telefono," Fallon quipped in response. "I know you just got back from Miami, but I didn't realize I was interviewing Gov. Pitbull," he said, referencing the Miami-born singer.
Later on, Bush gave a formal sit-down interview where he opened up about meeting and falling in love with his wife when he was 17 and she was 16 years old.
"I fell in love at first sight," said the former Republican governor. "Man, it was knock out moment," he added. He went on to explain that he first laid eyes on his wife while he was building a schoolhouse for children in Leon, Mexico. Although he could not speak Spanish very well back then and her wife was not well versed in English, Bush explained that they communicated through the language of love.
"When you're in love you can overcome these problems pretty quickly. There's another language that matters the most," he said.
The two then married when he was 21 years old.
When asked by Fallon how he differentiates himself from his father and older brother George W. Bush, the Republican hopeful said that former President George H.W. Bush "is the most perfect man I've ever met." On the other hand, he said he is younger and better looking than his brother.
