“Final Fantasy 7” will not be a mere re-mastering of the highly played game, but it will be a completely remade version for the PS4.

Executive producer Shinji Hashimoto informed IGN that the team assigned to develop the seventh game of the “Final Fantasy” gaming franchise has been studying the original game as their source material. By observing the original game, developers can identify which particular areas will have to be changed or tweaked in order to provide a much better gaming experience for today’s “Final Fantasy 7” PS4 gamers.

The team has reportedly been “putting a lot of careful thought” in order to meet the standards and expectations of the gaming world.

Apparently, according to Hashimoto’s statements, internal discussions regarding the “Final Fantasy” remake has been going on for years. What prevented the team from pushing through with the plans before was the conflicting schedules of director Yoshinori Kitase and character designer Testuya Nomura. Thankfully, they were able to finally work something out. “Timing worked for this now,” added Hashimoto.

However, Hashimoto said that the game is still unnamed for now but it will be unveiled to the waiting public in December.

The remade “Final Fantasy 7” game was first revealed during the recent E3 2015 press conference. The news about a totally remade version of the game – which has gained a massive following over the years – received a warm welcome from fans and investors.

In fact, the announcement gave Square Enix a 2.9 percent stock increase boost in Tokyo, which happens to be the company's highest stock market achievement since 2008, according to Bloomberg.

Fans were initially dismayed when it was first announced that the game will be coming to the PlayStation 4 as a simple port of the PC version.

Thankfully, Sony decided to change direction. It will be rebuilt from scratch to make it a more fitting “Final Fantasy” game for today’s modern gaming era.
