'Heroes Reborn' News Update: NBC is Bringing New Show to Comic-Con
The popular series "Heroes" is returning to this year's Comic-Con.
After Marvel, Sony and Paramount announced they were not heading to the San Diego convention, the NBC fan-favorite will return to the convention. According to Variety, the cast members and new faces will attend the convention. The panel will be called "Heroes Reborn" and it will be in anticipation of NBC's fall event series.
Among those who will be present include creator Tim Kring and the cast, Jack Coleman, Zachary Levi, Robbie Kay, Kiki Sukezane, Ryan Guzman, Gatlin Green, Henry Zebrowski, Judith Shekoni, Danika Yarosh and Rya Kihlstedt, will takeover Hall H. The panel will be held on Sunday, July 12 and it will include a Q&A session, moderated by cast member Greg Grunberg. NBC will also present a brand new trailer, in addition to bits about the "Heroes Reborn" online prequel series, and video and mobile games.
The new series will be 13 episodes and it will follow the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities. The original series by Kring entitled "Heroes" debuted at Comic-Con in 2006 where the premiere episode was shown to overwhelming reception from fans. The series later went on to become one of the most popular shows on TV and garnered two nominations for the Golden Globes as well as a number of Emmy awards. The series also launched the careers of many actors including Hayden Panettiere, Masi Oka and Milo Ventimiglia.
Comic Con is slated to take place in July and will also include panels for "Star Wars" and as well as "Grimm."
"Grimm" will debut a sneak peek of its fifth season premiere episode and will have cast members David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Reggie Lee, Sasha Roiz, Bree Turner, and Claire Coffee and exec producers and writers Jim Kouf, David Greenwalt and Norberto Barba participate in the Q&A.
"Star Wars" will take over one full day with a series of panels that will talk about the history of franchise.
