Jessica Simpson's Mom Reportedly Begs Her to Enter Rehab For Reported Drug and Alcohol Addiction, Offers to Sign up With Her
Family members and friends are rumored to be "begging" Jessica Simpson to seek help for her reported drug and alcohol addiction, with mom Tina even offering to enter rehab along with her daughter.
"Jessica's drinking has gotten out of control, and she uses Adderall as a diet drug," a source told Life & Style magazine. "One minute she's fine and the next minute she's talking nonsense and acting all crazy."
With that, Tina, who has had her share of alcohol related issues in the past, has proposed the two of them seek treatment together. In addition to wanting to help her daughter, the magazine reports she recently became engaged and wants to do all she can to put all her demons "squarely behind her before she walks down the aisle."
The source later added, "Going to rehab with Jessica means she can kill two birds with one stone. Tina sees it as a win-win for mother and daughter."
As for Jessica, RadarOnline reported she was seen "slurring and stumbling" at brother-in-law Evan Ross' June 4 performance at The Sayers Club in Los Angeles.
The 34-year-old is married to former NFL quarterback Eric Johnson and the two have two young children together. After a three-year engagement, the couple was wedded last year in a front lawn, July 4 ceremony on a ranch in California.
Nearly 300 guests attended the ceremony, including Simpson's sister Ashlee and then fiancee Ross, Jessica Alba and her family and Topher Grace and his girlfriend. Several of Johnson's old football pals from Yale and the NFL were also in attendance.
The two were introduced by mutual friends and dated four years before they were married.
