Less than a year after her messy split from Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey is rumored to be dating billionaire Australian businessman James Packer.

TMZ reports the "We Belong Together" singer and Packer were recently spotted holding hands in Italy, where they are reported to be enjoying an "extended vacation" on Packer's yacht. After their stop in Capri, the website reports the two are bound for Cannes and St. Tropez.

The 47-year-old businessman owns a fleet of hotels and casinos across the world and Forbes magazine estimates his fortune to be in the neighborhood of $4.6 billion. Reportedly, the two were introduced to one another by Carey's longtime friend Brett Ratner. He and Packer co-founded the film company RatPac Entertainment together.

According to the New York Daily News, Packer, who reportedly had been pursuing Carey for several months, is ranked as the fourth richest person in all of Australia.

The 45-year-old diva and younger Cannon were married for six years before he filed for divorce in December of 2014. The two have twin children together, 3-year-olds Moroccan and Monroe.

Soon after the couple publicly announced their split, Carey took legal action prohibiting Cannon from talking in great detail about their relationship or run the risk of being sternly penalized during any subsequent settlement talks.

Since their split, Cannon has been briefly linked to a number of women, including Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Jessica White, entertainer Amber Rose and Nicole Murphy, the ex-wife of "48 Hours" star Eddie Murphy.

The smooth-crooning, high note-hitting Carey is also known for such hits as "Hero," "I Still Believe," "Vision of Love," "Love Takes Time," "I Don't Wanna Cry," "Always Be My Baby," "Don't Forget About Us," and "I'll Be There."
