Lark Voorhies Insists She’s Happily Married Despite Husband Being Wanted man
"Saved by the Bell" alum Lark Voorhies took to Instagram on Friday, June 19 to post a photo of herself and her husband Jimmy Green at the altar.
She captioned the photo "Happily Married" alongside three wedding ring emojis.
Entertainment Tonight reports that Voorhies' wedding photo comes on the heels of her mother Patricia filing a restraining order against Green claiming that she is afraid that he "will cause her physical harm and this has caused severe stress on her every day since April 2015."
Patricia also alleges that Green has "gang affiliations" and uses "gang signs" to intimidate and threaten her.
According to TMZ, Voorhies and Green tied the knot in Las Vegas back in April and none of their families were in attendance.
Green told TMZ that he and Voorhies had plans to throw a bigger wedding ceremony next year for their friends and family, but TMZ says that Voorhies' mother does not approve of Green and his criminal past.
"Several members of Lark's inner circle tell us they're concerned she's at risk. They've told her to seek an annulment ... but Lark's not having it," writes a TMZ reporter.
Voorhies reps have told People that they are "looking into the matter" and "are obviously concerned about these allegations."
Green is wanted by police in Tuscon, Arizona, after threatening to kill a store owner in 2012, shouting, "I'm going to break the store and kill [you]," according to TMZ.
Green was reportedly charged with making criminal threats and disorderly conduct, and then later skipped the court hearing.
Voorhies has not publicly spoken about Green's criminal past, but he did choose to speak to E! about being wanted by the police.
"I'm not running from anyone," he told E! News on Saturday. "It was just a misdemeanor. They are blowing it out of proportion. Whatever happened, it is in my past. I am a changed man."
