Fans received a surprise on Monday morning when Kim Kardashian revealed exciting news about her second pregnancy with husband Kanye West.

"Precious moments like this when we were traveling on tour with you are what I live for," Kardashian wrote on Instagram when she posted a picture of Kanye reading to their daughter, North West. "You're such a good daddy to North & you will be the best daddy to our new son too!"

That's right, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" starlet and the "Yeezus" rapper will welcome a baby boy in December.

The announcement comes just a couple of weeks after the reality TV personality teased her fans on Twitter that she and Kanye knew the sex of their baby but had not revealed it yet.

"So many rumors," she shared on June 10. "We are not having twins, yes I am carrying my own baby lol & we have not told anyone the sex of our baby yet!"

She added in a second tweet, "Nothing is confirmed unless you hear it from me!"

The "Selfish" author recently addressed the rumor that baby No. 2 would be named South West during an interview the NPR.

"I don't like South West though because that's like, you know, North will always be better and be more. ... She has a better direction," Kardashian told NPR. "So I wouldn't do that. I don't think we'll go with another direction."

The second pregnancy is a blessing for the celebrity couple who have struggled to conceive. Kardashian had placenta removed from her uterus that was leftover from North's birth, which was thought to cause an issue in conception. She charted her ovulation, endured sex "500 times a day" and had in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment.

Kardashian is the cover star of Glamour magazine's July issue. In the issue, she expressed how excited she and Kanye are to welcome their second child.

"We are so beyond excited," 34-year-old Kardashian told Glamour magazine. "I'm a completely different person...If it all went away, and I was just a mom, I would love my life."
