Actress Elizabeth Gutiérrez has spoken out for the first time about her relationship with actor William Levy.

The star responded on social media to comments that were made by Levy, confirming their separation.

The actress used her twitter and Instagram accounts to post some contradicting comments.

While at a gala to stand up against child abuse, the actress spoke to "Despierta America." When asked about her relationship and family, the actress made a vague but direct statement, reports La Opinión.

"In my house, my sons keep seeing the same picture they always have; nothing has changed," she said. "And like I have always said, behind the four walls live four people and that is all I am going to say. I'm not going to say more. I am here to support a cause and I think that is the focus of today."

Guiérrez added that she has no reason to be unhappy and that her personal life is hers and she wants to reserve it. The speculation on her personal life and relationship with Levy comes from comments he made in early June to People En Español, claiming the two are not together anymore.

"Yes, we are separated, but not as a family, and we don't disregard the opportunity to be together emotionally in the future, whether tomorrow, a week from now, a month or a year," the actor said.
