After the news was broken last week that Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney, the remaining members of what was arguably the most legendary rock band in musical history will both be performing at this year's Grammy Award show, America has been ripe with speculation of a reunion performance during the show.

According to a report from contactmusic.com, Starr quelled some of that curiosity on Monday night at an awards gala thrown by The David Lynch Foundation in Los Angeles.

Although he would not confirm nor deny rumors about a Grammy performance, Starr did reveal that the duo will take to the stage the night after this year's award show during a special Grammy Awards tribute to the Beatles slated to take place on Monday January 27.

"To celebrate the 50 years since we landed in New York in February [1964], they are putting on a big show on Monday and we will be doing it there," Starr told Access Hollywood.

The event, dubbed "The Night That Changed America, A Grammy's Salute to the Beatles" will celebrate the 50 anniversary since the Beatles first appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show.

Access Hollywood reports that while the tribute will take place on Jan. 27, the special will air on CBS on Feb. 9.

Among the other performers who will take to the stage for the special event are John Mayer and The Eurythmics, gigwise.com has revealed.

Both Starr and McCartney are scheduled to perform the night prior at the Grammy's, but the verdict is still out as to whether their performances will be solo or united. Reps for both of these music legends have refused to comment on the speculation.

Either way, the 2014 Grammy Awards will be an epic petit fours to Monday's tribute event. Some of the most iconic talent in the music industry will be performing. Among them: Keith Urban, Pharrell Williams, Stevie Wonder, Metallica, Pink, Lorde, Lewis & Macklemore, Katy Perry, Kendrick Lamar, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and more. The 2014 Grammy's will take place this year at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The show will be broadcast live on CBS on Sunday January 26 from 8:00 - 11:30 p.m. EST/PST.
