Porn stars aren't what they used to be, to be sure. And certainly, porn stars don't get the respect they deserve in Hollywood (it isn't easy to pretend to like a 12 inch penis... wait, what?). So the stars of the smutty screen have learned to take care of their own with their AVN Awards, which has gone on for the past 15 years.

AVN Awards co-host Chanel Preston gave an interview to the Las Vegas Sun where she discussed how the AVN's were the best in her industry. "It's the most put-together award show. It’s the biggest one and right after the AEE convention where all the fans are. You get a whole week of being really excited about the award show because the fans are really involved. This one is definitely the most glamorous one, the one where people dress up the most. It’s the biggest production, and it’s aired on TV," she said.

Like the Oscars, the AVN's have nominations in such categories as Best Actor and Best Actress, but of course there are also industry specific nominations as Best All Girl Group Sex Scene, Best Anal Sex Scene, and Best Double Penetration Sex Scene. To put it simply, if you have a fetish for it, the AVNs will honor it.

According to the AVN website, "The AVN Awards show takes place each January during the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas and is attended by everyone who is anyone in the adult industry. Featuring mainstream comedians and music acts, the event has been broadcast on Showtime Networks since 2008. Viewed by millions, the show has included performances by Grammy-nominated artist Flo Rida, Baby Bash, Buckcherry, Smash Mouth, Lit, Lil’ Jon & the Ying Yang Twins and has featured appearances by celebrities such as Lisa Lampanelli, Dave Attell, Gene Simmons, Jim Norton, Bobby Slayton, Chris Angel, Vince Neil and more."
