“Scream Queens” season 1 will officially hit the small screens. Although FOX has not yet revealed the show’s premiere schedule, Emma Roberts informed her fans and followers about when Ryan Murphy’s much awaited show will begin to air.

“It is all happening! #ScreamQueens,” Roberts wrote as a caption to a “Scream Queens” Instagram photo. In the photo were some members of the show’s cast, along with the words “Series premiere Tuesday, September 22.”

Joining Roberts in the official cast of “Scream Queens” are Lea Michele from “Glee,” Keke Palmer from “Masters of Sex,” Jamie Lee Curtis from “Halloween,” and Abigail Breslin from “Little Miss Sunshine.” They will all be the subjects of a serial killer who wreaks havoc on a college campus, specifically the Kappa Kappa Tau sorority house.

Murphy has plans to add more stars to the already stellar cast of the series.

“We are slowly starting to go out to the great women of horror and also the great guys of horror and be, like, ‘Come in our playground,’” Murphy told Zap2it. “‘Please do an episode or two.’ So far, we have some great secrets up our sleeve. People say ‘Yes’ because of Jamie Lee.”

Ariana Grande, Nick Jonas, and other young celebrities will also be guest starring in the 15-episode horror series. Although it would appear that the show boasts of such an ensemble cast, Murphy has hinted that a huge portion of the cast will say goodbye since “only four of them live.”

“If you are dead, you are dead,” Murphy said. It will definitely deviate from the style, which “American Horror Story,” another one of Murphy’s creations, uses.

“The second season is the four remaining survivors – playing the same characters – going to a new ‘Scream Queens’ venue,” he added. “Then, we bring in other people and the death party starts again.”

When “Scream Queens” season 1 premieres on September 22, it will be joining two other Fox shows during its Tuesday air date, namely “The Grinder” and “Grandfathered," according to TV Line.
